How to Work on a Page

• Click on the Edit This Page button at the top of the page
• Add text, pictures, videos, files, links to webpages and media.
• Click Preview to see what the page will look like before saving.
• Click Save

• Click and type where you want the text to appear.
• Use the formatting buttons on the toolbar.

How to Add Pictures, Videos and Files

• Click the image icon which looks like a painted landscape.
• Use the 'Upload New File' or 'External Image URL' dialog to select the image or file you wish to put on your page
• Put the cursor at the position on the page where you wish to put the image or file
• Double click the image or file to put it on the page
• You can also add pictures by copying and pasting off of the Internet into the page.
• Click Preview to see what the page will look like before saving.

How to Link Words to A Web Page

• Highlight the word you'd like to link to.
• Click on the Add Link icon in the toolbar to add a new link.
• Click on External Link and type or paste the web URL

How to Create and Link to a New Page or Link to an Existing Page

• Highlight the word you'd like to link to.
• Click on the Add Link icon in the toolbar to add a new link.
• To link to an existing page, pull down and select the page name you would like to link to.
• To create a new page, either keep the name of the word you highlighted or write a new page name.

How to Embed Media (such as YouTube videos)

• When editing any Wikispaces page, you'll see a button on the toolbar that looks like a television.
• Click it, and paste the HTML from any embeddable web service in the box.

How to Undo

• You can't actually Undo something you just did like in a word processor, but you can revert back to the page before you saved it.
• Click on 'history' on top of the page you want to revert
• Select the version you would like to go back to, by clicking on the revision in the date column.
• Click 'revert to this version' at the top of the page.

How do I add a user icon? How do I change my profile picture?

• Click My Account to the right of your user name.
• Click the link Change Picture under the profile picture at the top left.
• You will be prompted to upload a picture.
• DO NOT CHANGE YOUR USER NAME OR PASSWORD

How do I add an image or document to a discussion post?

• To add pictures and files, you need wikitext.

• The image or file needs to be uploaded and named. For example, let's call the image lava_lamp.jpg.
• If you want to view it as an image, add it to your post by typing using brackets around the words image:lava_lamp.jpg

• If you just wanted to link to the image, so that other users could download it, add it to your post by typing, file: instead of image:
